Politics are just not fun. Well, we had to change that!
Building on the success of the “Crush on Obama” video, Fileitup Media was brought in to create an engaging online experience that would follow suit with this, and future politically-twisted viral videos.
What says politics better than the election process? We thought so too and decided to emulate the process but with a twist – dancing. Select a political candidate and dance your way to the White House in 14 unique levels across the U.S – non-contiguous states too!
We started by creating the main characters and their supporting cast. 20 political and public figures were drawn and brought to life using our animation engine. With over 30 dance moves spanning hip hop, country, rock, and including famous moves such as Soulja Boy’s Superman, our characters were as live as 2D characters get. And to keep is dynamic, we put gave players the ability to dress up their dancers, selecting from a variety of clothes and other outfits like a fireman’s outfit, a disco star, superman, and other interesting (and some very embarrassing) combinations.
We knew that people just wouldn't be able to contain themselves, how could they after dancing to a cool tune with a politician? So we gave them the option to save their dances and even embed a custom dance-player on their website or blog featuring their dancing skills. Pretty viral.
